".the use of quality ingredients in the hands of chefs who know what they're doing."
Justine Reilly Brisbane News November 2007
After moving in to Emporium in late 2007, Buzz Bistro has certainly
delivered on its
namesake and created a major buzz around town. The
food is something of a rustic
take on modern Australian cuisine, with
lots of robust ingredients and full flavours.
Under the masterful hands
of head chef and manager Phillip Cox, the resulting meals
are a feast
for the eyes as well as the stomach.
Take the goat cheese salad with jamon, roast baby beets, pine nuts and
balsamic
dressing or the roast tomato and manchego cheese tart served
with a petite salad as
shining examples. Desserts hold their own and
include bread and butter pudding (an
old favourite) and pavlova with
mango and passionfruit. Be sure to top off your meal
with a creamy Di
Bella coffee.
There's a hint of unaffected class to most things at Buzz, from the
pepper grinder on
each table to the use of fine china. The neutral
tones of the polished cement floor and
spunky furniture are framed by
the lively colours of stripy banquette seats,
contemporary artworks and
a red feature wall.
Buzz in for the best breakfast and lunch or Buzz out with their great
range of
take-aways and catering, or join them for dinner Wednesday to
Saturday!
^ Last Sat(21/11), I went to Emporium to wait for Taylor's drive to have Taiwanese
breakfast in sunnybank. When I passed ny BUZZ, there were full of customers.
Therefore, I arranged to experience how good it is.
Although it's only 9am on Friday morning, I hadrly found a seat.
Finally, I got it, table 4.
Don't forget the table #, you ganna need it when you onder in the counter.
Menu
B ordered omelette with bala bala...
I orderd eggs benedict with bala bala...
I love the laid-back atmosphere in BUZZ and the color conbination of red and white.
Here comes B's flat white!
It's a warm morning. I didnt wanna try any hot drink. Therefore, I missed the coffee.
But I really have to say the latte art is not so good.
This is my lovely vanilla mileshake. It's a nice milkshake.
I would recommend ppl to try it.
Or I should say the milkshake is well matched to the meal.
eggs benedict with smoked salmon, spanich, bacon and maple syrup
spanish and bacon were dressed with maple syrup and placed in ciabatta toast
and then composed with 2 eggs. Smoked salmon was topped.
It really amazed me. What a tasted dish.
Lots of different flavours spread and then compose in my mouth.
I love it.
But I am curious about one thing, how do they make it, the round shape of eggs.
And that is one of my favorite part of the dish.
omelette with zucchini, caramelised onion,
manchego cheese with bacon and ciabatta toast.
The omelette is full of surprising. With zucchini and caramelised onion, i can taste the sweet.
With manachego cheese, I can savor the smell of the cheese. Compose sweet, salt favors with
bacon and toast. What a surprising delicacy!
It's around 11am after I experienced such a wondeful morning.
Still lots ppl leisurely enjoy the casual morming.
Someday, I will come again, and again.
